CONNAUGHT SKATING CLUB

CanSkate / CanPower Coordinator

CanSkate Coaches

The Connaught Skating Club situated in Richmond, BC is accepting applications for their CanSkate / CanPower Coordinator as well as for CanSkate coaches for the 2009/2010 season commencing in September.

The Coordinator role is a salaried position and there are currently 6.75 hours of CanSkate and 4.5 hours of CanPower ice allocations per week.  These two programs run throughout the year from September to June and a summer program from mid July to mid August.  The programs are run within the Richmond Arenas using the Minoru Ice Arena in the Fall/Winter and the Richmond Ice Center in the Spring & Summer.

Our CanSkate / CanPower Coordinator’s role is a very exciting one and the successful candidate would be managing the programs under our Program Director and would be responsible for:

Scheduling of programs, producing and implementing an annual special events calendar, keeping records and a data-base of all program activities, managing all CanSkate coaching staff, mentoring and managing the program assistants, talent identification as well as communicating on a regular basis with the membership.  This role is a hands-on position and the Coordinator will be actively involved in all coaching of the programs in both CanSkate and CanPower.

Applicants should have a minimum of Level 1 full certified with Skate Canada as well as hold a current valid first aid certification.  Management experience would be an asset for the Coordinator’s role, but not a necessity.

All interested applicants should send their full resume through to:

Mrs. Jennifer Sanders

Club Administrator
